Certificate in Purchasing
The Certificate in Purchasing is based on the previous C.P.P. principles based accreditation program which has now been replaced by the Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program (SSCMLP). Anyone who has completed the requirements prior to the completion of the previous program (December 2009) can apply for the CIP up to March 31, 2010. No applicants will be accepted after this date. Interested candidates who have not completed the requirements can continue with the new Supply Management Training (SMT) Diploma Program.

Procurement practitioners work in a global economy whether their organizations source around the world or around town. Everyday, the forces at work in the world economy have a direct impact on supply management fundamentals, price, inventories, delivery, quality and availability. So, purchasing professionals in the private and public sectors require operational training that equips them with the skills to prosper and effectively manage risk in various situations.

The PMAC Certificate in Purchasing meets the highest world standard for operational excellence and was accredited in 2001 by the International Federation of Purchasing and Materials Management (IFPMM) as complying fully with the requirements of the Federation's Certificate of Competence in Purchasing. IFPMM is the pre-eminent umbrella body of purchasing associations worldwide.

PMAC introduced the PMAC Certificate in Purchasing to recognize technical proficiency. It's for people who have demonstrated a solid understanding of purchasing, logistics and supply management through successfully completing the required PMAC courses and seminars.

No matter where their suppliers may be, a PMAC Certificate in Purchasing prepares today's purchasing practitioners to make the most of every opportunity for their employers, while putting their own careers on a fast track.
